We knew we didn’t want a cookie-cutter hall or restaurant backroom. What I love about Peerspace is that it has listings for literally every vibe—warehouse, rooftop, garden—you name it.

2. DIY Table Settings That Pop in Photos
My sister and her crew got crafty and created cute-yet-chic DIY table settings. We used gold disposable charger plates (bougie on a budget), diy flower arrangements, and LED votives for uninterrupted lighting and ambience.

Yes, I was drinking mocktails. But that didn’t stop my people from enjoying frozen margaritas, spiked pink lemonade, and a beer fridge. We hired a mobile bartender who set up a chic acrylic bar and served from signature drink menus.

We weren’t doing the ladies-only route. This was a Jack & Jill shower, and the fellas came ready to turn up. My partner, friends, cousins, and their plus-ones all pulled up. The vibe was inclusive, and everyone felt like part of the celebration.
If your partner is down, bring him in on the planning! Ours picked the beer selection and created the playlist for the cocktail hour.
9. Brunch Vibes for a Daytime Party
We hosted this on a Sunday afternoon, and it just felt like a day party.
Brunch bites, bubbly drinks, sun coming through the loft windows, house music in the background. There was a relaxed, fun energy that you only get from a weekend daytime vibe. Plus, nobody was too tired to party because it wasn’t too late.
Tip: Aim for a 1pm-6pm window to maximize sunshine and energy levels.
10. Color-Themed Dress Code
We asked guests to wear shades of pink to celebrate our little girl. It made the whole space pop in photos and made everyone feel part of the theme.
You can choose:

It’s always a great idea to get professional makeup and hair done for any special occasion. I was lucky enough to have my girlfriend Marni Kleiman do my makeup and hair and also touch ups for my sister and family as well!
